thank
Thank you capo, one thing I am very happy to see is woman players such as yourself get more exposure (and I didn't mean the pun till I typed it) now and be recognized for both your looks as well as your abilities. I can't stand the women posing who have no clue what they are advertising as they are not about the sport, only making a buck for showing off their goods. You're representing AGD well and something like this is positive for the paintball community, it is a comfortable medium between T+A pics and pics of guys in camo. We could have you dress in a full-body oldschool dress for when AGD's ads starting running in Iraqi Weekly and Knitting Illustrated but for now I think this pic is tasteful enough for the masses.Feedback: http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...hreadid=105565

Man, that looks like like Audrey Hepburn in that B&W photo. She was just plain gorgeous, IMHO. Classy AND beautiful.Comment

Yeah... it's easy to just fall in love with her, ain't it. She was brilliant, talented, and a remarkable humanitarian. It's too bad she had cancer, I would like to have met her.Originally posted by Steelrat

capo what if i picked my nose and whipped it on your cat? would you be offended?
i know how to offend lots of people just choose not to. i think the pictures are border line edgy but when the mass of people look at paintball they think danger xtreme and what goes better with those then a model with curves? i think the capo posters perfectly fit the outside perception of paintballt33kyboy "So if a cat is dropped from 11 inches, it will most likely die."Comment

Re: Re: Re: miscue
yeah they have their right to post as a piece of meat but i have a right to say that i dont think that its moral WETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT which is my main point.Originally posted by Miscue
I don't either.
As far as girls in general posing for pictures... they have a choice in how they present themselves. It is voluntary, not forced. If they are presented as a piece of meat, that was their choice to do so - I personally don't believe anyone would be so naive as to not realize what sort of reactions they would get... and claimed 'innocence' is horse puckey.
The person in a photo can choose to take a picture like this (although it probably won't be used to market something towards young males):

or can choose to take a picture like this (the type of picture that could be used to market something to young males):

I personally have no sympathy for those who choose to be in pictures more similar to the second one than the first.
I prefer the first picture over the second. I love Audrey.
i dont really see how i was going around slashing throats and headbutting other members, i was simply voicing my opinion that that picture isn't just to show a "respected member in the paintball world," it is used to sell using sex appeal and don't say it doesnt. believe it or not, not many people know who clare is and when they see that picture its just "another model" to them, not some ledgendary awesome paintballer. If maghatter had made his point by just saying he disagrees with the pics because it might give the wrong image of AGD and a more tasteful image should be used to make the company stand out as more noble and tasteful, I would have respected that whether I agreed with him or not. But his remarks were condescending, sterotypical, really didn't serve much purpose besides being an insult to us, and just makes him out to be a forum troll. Claire's pic hints on racey but is definitely not as tasteless as the other pics you see day-to-day. If you disagree, definitely voice your opinion you have as much right as everyone else here does, but try to aim it at the topic and not make it a cheap shot on the other people in the thread.Comment

word... and simple solution to the display, put two right next to each other and move the forum bar down. Two shots of claire, who is going to complain about that?

Aren't ads suppose to cater to people who don't know about the products?
I mean, if not mostly everyone knows about every single one of those products here, hence automags.org.
They are cool and all but the goal is to get other people to find out the products.
Like if you were to get some of the ads to go on PbNation or the ads in a magazine it would make sense.
Never-the-less they look pretty cool. Kind of annoying though because of the size and all...

Re: Re: Re: miscue
I prefer to think of paintball as a "family" game and I don't think that the women in the sport want to see products advertised with naked/half-naked women as eye candy. I think that the paintball community has shifted too far to the sexual side of things. There are just too many products out there with sexual overtones. Ask yourself this, if your daughter wants to play paintball, do you want her to be forced to walk into a store and order a Stiffi with a condom? I don't. I think that is what Mag-hatter is trying to convey.Originally posted by Miscue

You know these new banners really work in creating interest. I put the banner in my Paintball.com sig earlier today and have already recieved 2 pm's from interested members who saw the banners in my sig and wanted to know more about the products.
And I haven't been told its too big, so I plan on keeping it there, kind of a "helping hand" if you will.Comment
