    anodizing x valve

hey, if i anodize my x valve, what need to be taken out ( what cannot be anodized).

Also, if i anodize it, will i have to retune it? Will the anno change the sizes on the inside or the powertube and whatnot?

lastly, can a dye ultralite be anodized? Will the black finish need to be removed, and if so wil the barrel bore change or become less accurate?

if anyone can answer these ?'s, id appreciate it a lot. Thanks

    DO NOT ANNO YOUR VALVE!
it mess up the strength(lack of a better word). It breaks the warranty. It probably will mess up your valve and ruin it.

yes an ultralite can be annoed

First of all, it's a hard ano. Good luck getting that off...

Second, it will void any and all warranty you hope to have on the gun b/c re-anoing it will strip the laser engraved serial # off.

In other words- Don't try it.

I was under the impression the reason to not anno it had to do with tolerances...

BTW, when are the colored X-valves going to be out?

Hopefully soon, I would love to build a custom colored mag w/o even having to send out to get anoed.

first, is your UL a screw kind or glued? I know on boomsticks they need to seperate the two pieces but since UL's are all aluminum im not sure if they need to seperate them.
