rich kid?

i've been working my bum off for a long time and saving up for a new gun and i desided on a ironmen timmy. the biggest problem i have is being called a rich boy. I'm 14 and i've been playing for about 2 years now and i think its time to step it up to the next level. I think i'm a pretty good player but not great. Even playing at my one of my local fields i get called a rich boy for playing there with my mag. Yes, I know my parnets are really great for supporting me but if i work my bum off for it why am i considered a rich kid?

Who cares what others think. If they say anything it's because they are jealous of what you have. Plus if you worked you bum off to get it then hey you just say that you worked & saved for it and tell them to bring it on the field. I had something similar happen when I went to a MicroRT and all my friends still had TL+ or tippies. It gets annoying but that is when you say you worked for it.

Yeah who cares what other people think bro. If you work hard to have what you do, enjoy it. Keep at it and keep working harder and good things will come to you.

it should be "self-made rich kid"

now THATS something to "brag" about. i mean working for a super nice gun? thats not being a wealthy brat, thats being persistant and having a good work ethic

same thing happend to me. just cause i have an x-mag and i'm 14 doesnt mean i'm rich. i saved up all my money, sold all of my equipment that i got from 4 years of paintball, and used my birthday money and graduation money to get my x-mag.

4 years and i finally got a high end marker *sniffle* so proud. NOW IM OWNING THE FIELD! SHOOTING UP REFS AND PLAYING AGAINST TEAM AFTERSHOCK! HAHAHAHA...o wait...nvm i got messed up pretty bad playing against aftershock.

there just jeluos. i know a kid who call me a spoiled kid just because i have my emag and my dye trixy. even though i payed for the emag and payed 640 for the trixy and am paying my parents back every penny for the trixy.

if your skill match you marker you then they should say that about you. also don't act you own the field

they're calling you a rich kid because you "work" for your parents and probably either:

A. get paid much more money by your parents than they would doing the same things, ie. mowing the lawn, raking, etc.

B. or you work for your parents at their company or something and also make more money than the average kid, who cant even get a part time job at your age anyways, would be able to do.

Either one of these situations would probably lead to you being called a "rich kid" and rightfully so. Dont sweat it, just enjoy it. They make fun of you because they envy you. Its class struggle, you always envy those with more than you have.

if you re young and you go high end... usually people say you re one or the other... usually these

1. the newbie that spends his whole life strivin to get that angel (2 at my school)

2. the kid that gets his mom to buy him a gun
(most at my school)

3. the kid that deserved it cus he is sponsored

4. and the kid that just got it b/c he is gettin damn good and he believes its time for a new gun

First dont even dignify "them". Dont justify on the whereabouts of how you got your gun. Remember your 14 yrs old, in about two years youll laugh your a$$ off even bothering with this question. Just do your thing and play your damndest, in they end thats how real people/painballers recognize you, by your playin ability and not your gear. Heres some notions to ponder.

1) its none of their bussines how you got your gun.

2) They dont really know you. So let them under estimate you, sometimes its beter than being intimidating.

3) Theyre probably jealous.
