Maybe you just pronounced (spell?) it wrong?
The "Dog's bollocks" Does mean "really great". You can also abreviate the whole saying to the "Dog's danglies" or just the "dog's" but don't say it's "going to the dog's" because that means it's rubbish.
Confused yet? Just wait till we start on cockney rhyming slang... the Sosta's are great people to learn that from.Comment

cockney rhyming slang is the most insane thing ever. i watched a little blurb on it on the special features of the "lock stock and two smoking barrels" dvd. they went over some of the more common ones. once they eliminate the part that actually rhymes it's impossible to understand.
