Barrel for Automag 68

I'm getting an automag 68. What is the best barrel for it? Where could I get that barrel? What price should I be expecting?

The Dye boomstick is really good. The CP barrels are also good (and pretty cheap). The Freak kit is also very good (but I think its over-rated). If you get a ULE body, then you can use a Pipe barrel kit (and other cocker threaded barrels).

My favorite is the 32 degrees carbon fiber barrel. Real lite, accurate and CHEAP.

Every barrel I have is a 1 piece stainless CP barrel...you just can't go wrong with them

Are you sure it's stainless and not just chrome?

I'd say the best is the DYE Aluminum. They don't make it anymore but you can get them used for about the price, or less than the price of a new CP. Great barrel.

My favorite barrel for my mag threaded mags was always my ACI Zero Gravity on piece - awesome barrel. I had one for mag threading - which I traded off unfortunately. When I switched to a ULE body I immediatly picked one up for cocker threading and liked it MUCH better than the dye ultralite or CP barrel I had.

I liked this barrel so much it was the only cocker threaded barrel I kept when I traded off barrels to buy an ACI PHAT barrel system.

CP barrels arent stainless, they're aluminum.

How much are the Dye Aluminum?? The CP barrels are only about 35-45 depending where you find them.

I've seen them go for anywhere from 40 down to 20. Just look around the BST forums for them
