Annoing a X-mag

Anyone have any experience re-annoing a X-mag? Like how to take the steel insert out of the main body, ect ect. Mine is flat black, and I would like to have it done in either gloss or black/silver fade. Any Sugestions??

u cannot it will mess up the tolerances.

I dont get it? Other guns can be annoed yet an Xmag cant?

It owuld obviously be stripped/prepped

Well I know for a fact you can reanno SFLs so........

Search and I belive LAW has reannoed his SFL.

they get made, THEN annoed.
how would getting it stripped (which most anno places do anyways), then getting it re annoed mess it up? i dont get it.

heh if you want someone with experence annoing x-mag bodies, then I can refer you to my friend. He milled my standard x-mag body and re-anoed it.

I am at least the 3rd out of 4 or 5 sfl owners to have their markers reanno'd already with no problems, infact jeffremillers purple sfl was reanno'd 2-3 times and works perfectly fine. It will not affect tolerances enough for at least 2 anno's or more.


As far as getting the steel body washer out, xmags now have them installed with locktight and a set screw I believe. Basically boil it up in water to loosen the loctite, then make a jack bolt

6inch stud with an inch of thread on it, probably 1/4" or 3/8" I believe, then get two locking washers, securely attach a washer on each side of the body washer in the xmag.

You can then use that to get the body washer out with probably no problems.

Actually I wouldnt mind checking it out. Im still looking. So far I like Maxannodising. They have paintball experience, i am waiting for a price quote back from them.

Xtreme paintball has done 3 sfl emags already so I would highly recommend them, they do a great job.
