and a dallara body. since that is next on my list anyways and a few people here are running that setup.

ok i am a complete electro noob, so please forgive me for asking this. this frame should work fine even without eyes correct? I mean the eyes is just a second way to make sure the ball will not be broken (along with the level 10) correct? i wanted to ask this that way I can plan to have my body drilled for eyes before I send everything off to the anno'er. Or even if it would be possible with a dallara body.

Yea with the WAS you can just put it into Bypass mode and it will work fine.

Ok Coolhand some info for you and everyone else about the Viking WAS Boards,

        Length: 2.875in
        Width: 1in
        Depth: .25in

In bypass MROF is 13bps but it can be upped with an Equalink (alows you to acces settings via computer)

Simulate mode can be used to fire paint but it has no ROF cap and may cause issues, mostly to only be used for dry firing

Settings (dwell, debounce, etc) can be adjusted through trigger

WAS boards also have a competition mode (impossible to adjust settings w.o tools)

Some more specs for you Coolhand incase you want to have people send in ULE/Aluminum Bodies in for eyes as a service.

          right click save as

I'm looking into getting you some .dwg files since they'd be more useful to you.

edit: I dont think you have to worry about eye covers, most people would be more than happy to have their eyes JBwelded on Angel style.

Why not use an external LCD port?
You could put the battery in the grip and have a port to plug in an LCD for programing. It could be optional so people that didn't want it don't have to buy it.

Think how cool it would be to have an Intimidator LCD and buttons in a watch form-factor. You would just plug in the cable between the gun and watch and use the watch buttons to program it!

Surely its just the potential 30bps which is the problem, because you could out shoot your halo :o for a ball or 2.
We have lvlX and shouldnt have a problem.

Why not use an external LCD port?
Its probably simpler and cheaper to use the computer interface.

You can set the gun up using a computer (laptop or home PC) and make minor adjustments using the trigger if needed.

If the body needs to be drilled for the eyes, you could easily modify it to accept aftermarket eye covers.

                People then have 2 choices:

dont bother with eyes and rely on your lvlx

or get your body modded to take the eyes and covers.

JB welds on angels look really ugly, this is a professional product, not something cobbled together.

                    Another idea

                    Here is another thing,
you could use a PDA to do the programing........
You can pick up an handspring neo visor for 50.00 now... and that is all that you would need.

Uh guys AKA WAS boards dont have LCD hookups, and they dont use PDAs (yet) to be programed.

Alright, after several days of runaround from WAS and their venerable CEO Jim Drew, I am going back to the CF board and internals.

Suffice to say, from what we have talked, and what subsiquent investigations have turned up, that I do not trust him enough send any remotely large sum of money his way.

So, we are back to square one with the CF board, BUT we are moving forward now.

Sorry to disappoint you debounce junkies.

I think centerflag would be best.. This way all you have to do is make the frame.. And it will save you headaches to start out with.. Eventually you could move to a different board.. I think someone should make a new WAS and put Jim Poo out of buisness

I still think you should check out the IS (Nerobro's project) boards be made for Spyders. All the settings are adjustable so I would think it wouldn't be a problem changing it to work with Mags. It's also significanly cheaper than the CF board.

Not to kill you looking researching but how about entropy boards?

Their basically WAS Boards but much cheaper (cheaper than CF boards to) They've been released to good results.
