Black Minimag Question

ok, i have a minimag and it has a black body. 1st how or by what means is it that color. Its not annoed that color so how is it done. 2nd how can i touch mine up. Its seen a good number of years out at the field and its really starting to show. Its a bit faded and scratched up. Not bad but its lost its mystique....

its an electroplated finish... you can't really touch it up, but you can send it in to get stripped and powdercoated... which comes in colors and whatnot

so can i powder coat it black then to return it to its former glory???

yup

just make sure the powder coat isnt too thick, otherwise it causes tolerance issues with the rail & sear assembly

now can someone powder coat my body or do i do it myself and if i do get someone to do it how much am i spending???

check in the dealers f/s/t forum, i don't know if hes still doing it, but redrider powdercoated bodies for $20-30 if i remember correctly
