Backstop and return spring for intelliframe trigger?

I'm considering creating a little backstop for my intelliframe by drilling into the frame, tapping it, and inserting a threaded, hex "plug" that can be used as a backstop. I find that I shortstroke when I walk the ULT, and a backstop may very well fix this.

The return spring would be nice to thread over the backstop, just have to figure out how to anchor it to the frame itself...the spring won't be a necessity, but it would be nice (used to the return spring in other markers).

Any thoughts? I'm sure it would probably void the warrante, but it may be worth a shot.
