I'm a photo geek i guess....i'm really into photography. I'm taking photo 1 and 2 at my school...just basically different photo assignments and we get to develop our own negatives and print and the such. My first camera and still my only is a Canon Rebel 2000 but i'm lookin into a Nikon later on.
I really wish i could go to some pball events to take pics but there are none near me...

My freind has a D100 .. .very nice machine. What amazes me is how fast it focuses and shoots. Thats been the bigest dificulty shooting dig for paintball is getting shots to come out clear. Very nice.Sig image must be under 20kComment

some people gun whore, i camera whore. i have 2 d100's, and now the d2-h. dont even ask me about my video cameras...lol. the d100 is higher megapixel, but the d2-h is built for speed. it can shoot 8 fps for 40 frames. the d100 can only do 3-4 fps for 7-8 frames. the d2-h is made for sports/news photography where speed and long strings of shots are a must. im dying to take it out somewhere tomorrow and shoot alot of tests."whoever did that in the bathroom needs to start eating right and go see a doctor" - Tunaman, AOSC 2

My brother's really into photography. I'm not sure how his stuff compares to yours - he does mostly digital and works on it in photoshop, which I know NOTHING about, rofl. He has something called a Sony F707. Do you know what that is? It looks a lot like your camera, but is digital, and it's like $900. Wow. Cameras are 'spensive.

Tyrion, sorry to say, but the Sony Cybershot DSC-717 is nowhere near the complexity and fine machining as the nikon d100 or any other Digital SLRs. the sony has a fixed lens, and still has shutter lag associated with consumer model digital cameras. the D100 is a fine working beast with absolutely no shutter lag. it is in the real of proffesional camera equipment whereas the sony is still an expensive consumer camera.Originally posted by tyrion2323
