That's funny, for a good 6 or 7 years WDPs minireg had a recharge rate of about 15 seconds

        I second Freshmanbob's post.

You could get yourself a nice milled Viking, or buy one of the others and have money to spend on other stuff.

You never know!!! There may be something other then paintball you want to spend money on.

Still, if money is not an issue, then get yourself a milled Viking!! Add some flava to ya life.

i would say 2K4 Alias Timmy

here are my reasons: it's very fast and looks dang sexy
Dm4: Ugly as all hell but still hella fast so if you don't mind looks go for it
Angel 4: never cared for Angels but its very fast and looks decent cept for the funky trigger

Overall go with what you want or just go with the Timmy.

Go w/ the 2k4 timmy, I just seen both guns recently and the timmy was more accurate , quieter and faster than the angel4. The dm4 is to new and I heard about some problems w/ them. I've never heard any complaints from timmy owners.

I'd probably go for a Destructive Customs Viking. Vikings are the only non-mags I would consider using.

my votes on the force 4.

WDP stands behind their products, that is if they break. 3 soon to be 4 out of 5 guys on my team have angels and never had problems. Two are dust black speeds, the other is a Gabriel LCD. Its a 99 thats had no problems. The minireg sucks? Just look here. I watched my friends (one with halo, no problems) just empty their hoppers at the end of the day on a bunker probably 20-25yrds across the field.

But, it might be some strange phenomenon causing the magical elves to be turned away from AGD due to a waiting list and unemployment, so, like Dynasty, they switched companies. Or, Bob just got some of the cocker fairy dust and sprinkled on.

Plus, I dont care for dye much anymore either, you already have a timmy.

                    Look for this quote:
"Here is something to think about.....
We recently purchased a DYE matrix for testing. Out of the box it didnt work. The other 2 they sent as replacements did not work either. What have we got at this point? 2 kinda working DYE LCD matrixes and one that was DOA and never recovered." -Bob

why do you guys keep saying vikings and the matrix and all these other things? Just stick with the guns he specifically listed. if he said he considered them I've narrowed my choices down to the following guns:

                    Angel 4
                    Dye DM4
                    2K4 Alias Intimidator
, then just give your input based on his parameters.

                    sorry its so long

timmy......theyre so reliable. plus theyre freakin nice lookin. basically they all shoot freakin fast so if speed is what ur lookin for, theyre all that. what you are lookin at is basically the style you like. theres a different feel to each gun, so its your own liking, but id go w/ a timmy any day just cuz of the amazing speed weight and reliability and milling and so on and so on......

Length is good. Great post--very informative and well thought out.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting the DM4 (with paint) of one of the workers at Extreme Rage down here. All that's left would be for me to try out an A4 sometime and I guess from there I might be able to make my decision.

I'm hoping the SENSI is all it's cracked up to be if I select the Angel however.

Of my teammates, one has a speed with an A4 board in it, another has a DM4, and several swear by their timmys, including a new empire timmy, which is kinda close to an Alias. Having had the pleasure to use all three, I have found some ups and downs to all 3 markers. All of your choices are beautiful markers, and i would not mind owning any of them. With that in mind, here is my take on each of the 3. Bear in mind, this is a PERSONAL OPINION of all three markers, based solely off of using them on the field. My data may be off, but this is the feel I got off each marker.

Angel speed w/A4 board - Of the three, this one was my personal favorite. I have always had a thing for angels, and this one is just sweeet. It belongs to our other frontman, and is setup just for peole like me who get down and dirty in the smallest bunkers around. The 90* frame is my personal favorite, and this is what puts the gun first in my book.
I honestly did not find too many things I disliked about the gun, although the 600 menus grates on me a lot. I mean, who really needs a gun that can tell you the ambient temperature, instant message your friends, and make you toast?!? Another possible flaw is the issue that crops up sometimes with halos and angels. I never experienced this, as I shoot an egg, but just hop over into the angel forum here on AO and you can find some horror stories.
Overall, this takes the cake in my book. Nothing too serious here, but for $1400, what can you expect besides a great marker?

Timmies - I have not had hte pleasure of shooting an Alias yet, but I have shot Texas Storms, Lasoyas, Empires, 2k2s, etc, etc. My really like how they moved the grip frame forward on the Alias, because long guns never worked for me. I also love the incredible speed you cna get off a timmy. Legal or not, I can shoot a good 5-6 bps faster on a timmy then any other gun. Maybe it's the WAS board, maybe it's something else. All I know is this gun RIPS.
For the bad, my main beef is the overall length of the gun. Even with a 12" barrel, timmy's just feel long to me. I can't stand the fact that I hit the barrel on the bunker every time I switch shooting hands. I'm sure it's a thing I could get rid of by practicing, but it is an annoyance. Second of all comes the gripframe. If a timmy came out with a 90* frame, I might just break down and buy one. This matters so much to me, but to you it might be a moot point, so lets move on to my last beef with timmys. I HATE taking gun thits on a timmy!!! The paint oozes into the milling and it never. comes. out. EVER!! YOu cna clean it all you want, but short of stripping it down and using q-tips, that paint and dirt is stuck there for good. After a good 3 days of tourney, the timmies are just mudballs. Again, I'm nitpicking, because lets face it: for $1400.00, these guns are all going to be amazing.

DM4 - I'm still not convinced on this thing. My teammate who owns one is able to tear up pretty nicely on it, but it just doesn't mesh well with me. I don't know quite why: maybe it gives off bad vibes or something, but this gun and me just don't get along. As a plus, the thing is the easiest to get working, just push the button and it's ready to go. And the body styling, while not exactly the best I've seen, does look a lot better in person than in a picture. And this same styling makes cleaning crap off the body incredibly easy. Just wipe it with a towel. There really aren't a lot of cracks to get paint stuck in. Another nice point about the DM4 is that it is definately unique. At the field it turns a lot of heads due it's one-of-a-kind looks.
On to the bad. Of the three, this thing comes out third in my book. It just isn't tested. It seemed to chop a lot for me, but the rest of my team never had the problem. It is LONG as well. This thing is right up there with the timmys for being annoyingly long. I feel bad knocking my friend's ultralite around on the bunkers and ground. As a personal opinion, the thing isn't as easy to rip on as the other two: I shot noticeably slower on this than on the other two guns. Personally, teh DM4 just doesn't feel debugged enough for me. I don't know what it is, but me and the gun didn't mesh right. And for the amount of money we're talking about spending here, the gun I buy better fit me like a glove...

On a final note, please, please, please!! shoot the guns, play a game with them if you can. Get a feel for the ups and downs yourself before you make any sort of purchase. Just because I like the angels doesn't mean you will. And when it comes down to it, the only difference between these guns is personal choice.

And yes, this is my longest post ever. Go me.

I'd have to go with the Dm4, I shot one at my local store and all I can say is wow... that thing rips. It was so easy to get into a really fast rythym, and that was with the stock trigger settings. Its also very light, but kinda long.

Get the Dm4, timmy, or a viking. You need something w/ good eyes now days and those all have fairly decent ones. Try to shoot one of them. I've shot all but the dm4 (i've held it ) and they all are great. Timmy has a lil' kick which is a no no in my department.
