    New Stock barrel? ULT?

How are the new stock barrels? The one's that come on the X-mag and the new custom RT package (nice move AGD). I believe they are made by J&J, so that's a positive sign. Any idea about the bore size? I really hope AGD went for .689 as that seems to work the best for most of what I shoot. Anyway I'm basically wondering if they are like the javelins that come on vikings which can be left alone or more like the barrels on a tippy, which need to be changed right away.
Also since I am going out to pick up one of the new Rt customs, anyone have a opion on the ULT they would like to voice? I did a search, but the responses were really mixed. I was hoping to get a more definitive answer. Thanks a lot.

        FYI,

The Xmag and the new R/T package use different barrels.

The R/T is a 2 piece with less porting and the typically supplied(some where different)Xmag barrel is a 1 piece with a little more porting. They both seem to be about .689 - .690

Yeah,I know.It is a screwed together 2 peice and only ported about half way down the tip.The stock X barrel "should" be a one peice in most cases,I believe.

my friend tried one over the weekend on his new rt, and it IS medium bore, and shot pretty well. we were using rps big ball with it, and it was shooting just about as well as his boomstick.

thanks guys. BTW shooting as well as a boomstick isn't "pretty well", its awesome. Boomsticks shoot darts with the right paint.

The ULT is something you need to decide for yourself really. Do you like the high reactivity of the RT valve? Or do you find that the lower trigger pressure suites you best?

If you like to sweetspot and such, the ULT is not what you should go with. If you like to be able to rip the trigger as fast as you can, the ULT is right for you. If you have some strong fingers you can actually walk the ULT pretty effectively.

My suggestion would be to try both, and then choose which you like best.
