Both are high end mechanical markers. Try a good quality cocker and then a good quality RT Pro. Pick the gun that fits you and your style.

Personally, I like the RT Pro based on the years of maintenance free operation I have had with my mags.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Well, as a rule I would advise against the Outkast. I have nothing against cockers but you can build up a better cocker than the outkast cheaper. The only thing it really has over the 2K3 is the pneus and inline reg. Chances are you will want to upgrade your pneus anyways so mush of the money will be wasted. I would suggest you get a 2k3 over an outkast and upgrade it.

On the other side, there is a helluva good deal on the RT right now. Building a mag up would actually cost you more than the new package.

So as for deals I would say the RT is a better deal. But only you can decide which you'd rather own and what feels better to you. Between a mag and cocker, I don't think you can lose, they are both nice. I've had a mag, have a cocker, and will have a mag again.

Do you want a gun that you can spend more $ on to upgrade or do you want a gun ready to go out of the box and be the fastest mechanical gun?

Cockers are good guns, don't get me wrong. But I want one with less moving parts and less that can go wrong.

The "Make your own RT Pro" promotion will allow you to tailor your gun to what you want it to be. I see lots of people with cocker-itis. They buy the gun and then buy more and more parts for it.

Shoot both, make your choices from that.

number one question to ask yourself is do you always want to be dependent on compressed air. Do you play lots of rec ball or do you play at a field with all day comp. air. Do you already have a tank? If not take that into consideration.

I personally have 2 rt's and a cocker. They both shoot totally different from each other, thats why you need to shoot both. I don't prefer one over the other, the RT is faster of course. Its just that sometimes its a pain to have to run comp. air all the time. Thats why I have the cocker for co2. Cockers run great on co2.

Another thing to think about is chopping. with level 10 properly set up its nearly impossible to get breech breaks. You can play with the assurance that you not gonna have gunk in your barrel. On the other hand, you are going to chop with the cocker, no doubt about it. You will short stroke and chop. Especially if you are new to cockers. You can try to set up the springs to not chop, or mess with your lpr, or get a jam bolt (wouldn't recomend it. I have tried all of these and none are fool-proof solutions like lvl 10. None are as reliable as lvl 10 or as easy to set up. The only proven way is to just learn that trigger.

Personally, If it were me I'd go with the rt, especially with the ULE deal now.

If this is the case, I don't think anyone will argue that the Rt-Pro will give you more speed. Plus, with the L10 you can take advantage of the speed without chopping wories.

                          i say the mag..

a mag with ult is more than likely faster than any mech cocker, but thats just me. and the lx is probably more reliable than any ACB for a cocker...

I'm not so sure about the bolt.I have a Delrin JAM bolt,it's pretty fool proof. No tweeking,no cons,no effects on the gun at all,it just works all the time.
