Predictions for 2004?

Let's Not Forget...

Paintball will be on TV more than ever. Paintball 2Xtremes will be on television in 2004 on a network yet to be announced (keep reading), NPPL will show up on Fox about six times as we know, and Dick Clark will likely move forward with his plans to take the NXL to the television world. With more professional coverage of paintball on telelvision than ever, I think, should the market remain strong, that paintball could once again see one of its biggest and best years in 2004. And I'll be watching.

NPPL will become the league of the up and coming teams , NXL for the pro's

every one will realize how boring it is to watch paintball if you dont play ( i like watching it ..but its soooo hard to follow on TV)

Kingmann will hopefull take on SP.

i will not shoot a shocker ...ever

WDP will give up on the A4 on keep markers in the speed price range as their flagship markers.

My guesses are that:

1. AGD will hopefully design a mod that will increase air efficency.

2. The R&D people at AGD will finally take the Sear Mod developed by Jack&Coke and QUINCYMASSGUY seriously and realize its extremely high potential.

3. NPPL will either merge with the PSP or fade out of existence as the PSP is the far superior circuit.

4. NXL on TV will be an underground hit, much like SLAMBALL on Spike TV. If all goes well ESPN might trade their panties for a pair of boxers and put paintball on a major sports channel.

5. SP continues their trend of being complete jackasses but soon enough everyone will just stop caring.

6. AKA's 04 viking will break into the tourney world as supplies become greater, and will replace the void left by the matrix when DYE went all nerf blaster on it.

7. And finally i will complete my super-mech-mag and continue my quest to turn my cocker/impy shooting friends into somewhat intelligent paintball players.

Resale rate of mechanical guns tanks further than what it is now.

Gradual shift of all markers towards 'cocker threads(twist-lock becomes obsolete due to barrel manufacturers' unwillingness to produce)

Mask companies begin including semi-rigid form of head protection.


Probably the biggest, most influential change for paintball in 2004 will be this:

-Reliable eyed electro blowbacks take over as standard low and middle-end gun.

Static will move up to pro and do quite well

Cartel will take the step up and become an NXL team(just a guess)

Gun wise, the prominate tourney guns will remain the same with an increase of 03 shockers. The advent and ISIS will not be readily avaliable and be flops.

Kingman is completely stock produciing mech. guns

Aftershock is going to have a few roster changes and take NXL

Naughty Dogs will move completely to PSP

No new hoppers that can compete with halos

Impulses will become a MORE widely used, the release of the was board will make everyone want an imp

NPPL will remain strong, I don't think it will start fading away for 2-3 years, just because Dynasty is still playing in it, and ND will too, most likely

Agd will reform the EMAG line and make them alittle more widely used

1.Yeah I think static COULD do well in pro (probably make finals a good chunk of the time).. but will they move up? My moneys on no.

2. I just found out SHOCK lost ALOT of players to Wone Concepts killing two of my predictions (shock doing good and wone doing utterly terrible).. Instead shock will be the NXLs version of the bears and Wone will win about 1/3 of their games for the first two tournies and make semis by chicago.

3. The dogs are gonna do what dynasty does... Stay NPPL and do DIV 1 Xball... They have no chance of toppling dynasty in either.

4. Id personally like to see Russian Legion jump to PSP Div1 (as well as NPPL and millenium) but Im still not seeing it in the cards

5. I think RL will take 2nd in NPPL and 3rd in Millenium.. (for some reason I think joy div. is gonna out them)

6. Static will dominate AM division.

I wouldn't be so certain .

Because the Allies will have a brand new weapon this year: TTM . We'll be working with team wetworkz in the ranger battalions. You'll come to fear the allies you never hear coming, the ones you don't know are there till you feel a marker tap you on the back or you hear a whispered "surrender" or feel that paintball hit on your person and never knew where it came from .


ALSO, once again, TK will be leading the Allied Force on Normandy Beach. AGD favors allies . . . what's that say about us .

Heheh... the day that happens is the day I quit playing. I don't think I've ever been back shot in a game. :) Besides, we spend most of our time doing hit an run anyway. I never saw any "generals" on the field after the beginning. Just "hey, yall go down there and hold that fort." We won't even go in on the whole Charlie base incident. I was there, and I still can't explain what happened.

Hey, if I end up going again this next summer, I'll try to look you up. May have to hit the speedball field for a quick game or something.
