    Anyone using the J&J Edge twist-lock w/Lvl10

    Hey guys,

I just ordered my new Christmas present for myself. It's the J&J Edge barrel kit.

After ordering it I started thinking about any potential issues I might have with my Level 10 bolt. Has anyone used this kit with their classic twist-lock 'mag, and what were your results?

    Thanks much for the information.

I've been using mine for quite some time with my lvl 10 and haven't seen any issues. I haven't even tried to use the .685 back since I know it won't fit with the bolt since the bolt is .686 around at the tip. If you really have to use that back then I think you can sand the bold down a bit to get it to fit otherwise all the other backs work fine.

I ran a J&J Edge twistlock kit forever on my mech mag with lvl10. worked GREAT, until you tried to put the smaller backs in. Then the bolt stuck

Easy fix, just take a dremel tool with a sanding drum, or a good sheet of med. grit wet-dry sandpaper, and wear the flare down a little at a time, til the bolt slides in and out of the back. Keep the back handy for testing purposes... Don't take too much off. --Dave

Thanks for the extremely fast and encouraging responses!

Last thing....does each back already have ball detents and O-rings or should I order some now?

          Thanks again,

I don't have any problems with my J&J, I don't see why you would have any problems with it.

you would if you used the smaller backs.
i only use 1 back on the edge, sometimes two. i never really used the 2 smaller ones, as the 2nd to smallest was giving me bolt stick every now and then, and couldn't even get bolt in smallest.
i didn't even bother touching the bolt and flaring the tip down as i didn't want the blow back issue.(minimal is better.)
however since igot the karta now, i got my friends scepter kit :)

fixion - my kit didn't come with orings or detents so, should order some

I think with lvl10 the smallest twist lock you can use is .688 or .686 but i think .686 will cause bolt stick. Of course someone correct me if i'm wrong but I think i'm right
