Why won't AGD make an Electric Frame

And that is exactly what the hyperframe is.

If more info comes out for the hyperframe and maybe it gets a bit cheaper, I may think about switching my emag to that thing. I do like my mag being smaller, but hey, its great now :]

I love my E-Mag, so much I have been looking everywhere for a cheap hyperframe for my Minimag (I'm really really poor right now ).

I think it would be pretty cool if AGD came out with one. But at the same time, there is the SP issue and its still goning to cost around the same price as the hyperframe.

About the SP thing

Isn't the SP patent dealing just with the Solenoid and micro-switch? or did they manage to get to the point that you can't even wire a 9-volt to you frame just to play a joke on your friend?

Tom's post makes me think that this is something that they might do after the whole SP thing is cleared up (although who knows when that'll be?). I'm willing to wait for that as I've got the ULT to tide me over.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the hyperframe void the AGD warranty? I'd consider getting one if that wasn't the case, but I'd much rather have a e-frame built by AGD.

Does anyone actually have the pdf or a web site with the a copy of SP's complaint? I've heard summaries from people who say they are in the know, but have yet to see it myself. If it's true that they claim a patent on ANY electronic device firing paintballs, I don't think any judge would go along with that line of reasoning. That would be like Xerox suing computer manufacturers because they developed computers that run on electricity. I mean, come on.

It would be cool to see what AGD could come up with as far as an electronic upgrade trigger frame. But what about a barrel system? Has AGD ever considered making a multi-bore barrel system designed specifically for the mag? I guess the major hang-up there could be SP as well, since I'm sure their next suit will be against all the companies that make multi-bore barrels...

I got the impression from earlier threads (correct me if I'm wrong anyone) that Tom would rather shave his head bald while chewing on tinfoil than get into doing a lot of barrels.
While it isn't the prettiest barrel ever made, the crown point that I got with my mag was a kick *** barrel. I'd love to see what kind of barrel system AGD would put out.

Not necessarily. I'm in constant contact with the guys at Action Markers. And one new ticket they're making is their Diadem. However they are marketing it not as a whole marker (despite being able to buy it as that) but rather as a "Kit." To bypass the whole Smart Parts issue. Apparently it's the sale of complete markers, the suit has nothing to do with kits.

If AM is right with this then the sale of an add-on electronic grip frame means Nothing with the Smart Parts lawsuit politics. Completely avoids it.
