Barrel Question: What should I do...?!

My real question as it stands right now is that I've got a .688 Dye UL for my X-mag and I jsut picked up a .687 Stiffi barrel...I knew the stiffi would be a little small but I'm trying to decide if I should swap the Stiffi for a .689 which is the average barrel bore size or go for something larger like .691 so that I have an average and a large bore barrel...the only problem is that I'm afraid I'll like the stiffi more and want that in a .689 instead of the UL..

and no...I'm not switching barrels to a Kaner/Freak/Scepter..i want to work with what I have..

I'd go to the .691 if I were you. Having a .687 and a .688 really gives you limited options with paint. I'd rather have the paint be a bit loose in the .691 than have it breaking in both of the others because it's too tight.

i dont know if its just my luck, but i've never had a paint that was larger than .690.
i've been using .689 mostly but the paint still falls through. even with a .687 paint would fall through a little. and i didn't care go lower since it wasn't cocker threaded and bolt would get stuck.
but now i got the karta that i mostly use the .686 for paint

but i'd say go with the what you have now, that is unless you tend to get rather large paint most of the time.

What about just picking up an extra back for the UL? Maybe a .692 (I think they just go up in even increments).
