        Actually, AE would be better for working with pneumatics, etc. You get the stuff you need from mechanical engineering along with the fluid dynamics, statics, and other areas that AE concentrates on where ME goes off. Both will get you a good job elsewhere, so will EE.


        Now, in defense of EE: EE has a broader field than ME nowadays since EE's are in such high demand everywhere. On a survey recently, it was shown that the largest number of postitions open for newly graduated EEs was higher than any other engineering degree program. If you want to work whereever you want, then go EE. If you want to work in designing pball guns, the AE degree will serve you much better than an ME degree.
