heres what you do...
1) stress the safety precautions you will have...mandatory masks, netting, chronos, barrel condoms...and dont just tell them show them what they are and do. insurance...etc.
2) have documentation up the whazoo, dont just talk let them read it in writing.
3) get letters from people who know...best would be other public officials who are in favor of the good points of PB. look at the article on warpig about a town in fla that has a city owned PB field.
4) counter their hick townie phobias with real people...PB moms in favor of a legal field for their kids to play at, talk to local cops, the chief, and offer them a free place to do training. local church youth group leaders...more and more holy rollers are getting down with pb as a safe fun youth activity...bring a preacher in and see the mood change.
5) and last but not least...show them the money. if your proposal has your expected income in there they will see the advantage of letting you open up because a lucrative tax source is better than an empty lot.
