Good luck getting the equalink ... I have a WAS board in my timmy and love the thing completely ... but the wait for the link is becoming almost unbearable ...

Wow. Bad move by AKA to be working with that scheisster. It would be one thing if WAS simply made it as an aftermarket part, but standard? To this day I've never heard of an operational equalink cable. But then again I don't keep up on this stuff.

The viking and excal are gonna be getting reeally popular within the next year or so. They have the soda can mod, which is an improved pressure compensating LPR comming out at IAO (even less chops, and even better chronos), the WAS board and eventually ACEs. The featherlite vikings and excals are already lighter than timmy's and angels, better looking (IMO), faster or just as fast and more efficent.

eastimated excal shot counts the viking should be the same or better.

            68 ci / 4500 psi 1800 shots
            88 ci / 4500 psi 2200+ shot

            Hope that helps

I'm looking at picking up a Featherlight before too long..but everyone here knows how fickle I am so anything could, and usually does, happen.

not like getting an equalink to an aka gun is any easier...

Better efficiency by a board!? i dont think so. Unless you have to turn up the LPR (lower dwell...), which would also lead to the better batery consumption (although this could be straight electronics).

they are nice boards, but i sure wish WAS would just be perfectly straight up about them.

I know the boards give a bettery life .

I am not sure about effency, I still think 1800 shots out of a 68/45 is nice, lot better then alot of guns on the market.

Any ways, just my 2 cents worth

I highly doubt the AKA guns will ever take off. Great markers, produced by a mickey mouse outfit that can't keep up with the micro demand for their stuff now. I can't imagine them ever being able to produce enough markers to even come close to competing. For the record, the first *upgrade* to their software took over a year to get out. In the 8 months I owned my Viking they NEVER produced a single LPR kit, cartridge tool, or warp cable. From what I could tell talking to them on the phone, they didn't even have programming cables ready to go when after the year wait on the software was up. I constantly hear about supply issues from my local shops - and I've been told by one of their oldest dealers (happens to be local to me) that they're sick of the hassle of having to wait weeks after ordering a gun for a customer, only to have to wait weeks more after it was susposed to arrive. It is bad for thier business - so they aren't even trying to sell them any more.h

AKA will need to outsource or sell the guns to a bigger company for them to ever take off.

PS. Anyone who thinks you'll get 1800 shots out of a 68/45 is a little off. Granted I handn't turn the LPR down (how much gas are we talking about anyhow...) but was getting only about 12-1300

I saw this, and just had to comment...

The stock electronics are horrible. The solenoid output and power supply are terrible. You can run the dwell 6ms shorter with the Equalizer, resulting in a significant decrease in gas consumption.

                            To calvin-

AKA has sold more markers in the last 2 months, then they have in the last 2 years. They are cranking out markers about as fast as Bob Long now.
