Speed or strange imp

Sorry for the what gun post but my friend is in a huge dilemma. Should he get a vision strange imp in blue to pewter fade with a 68/45 maxflo and a full freak for a grand, or a black to blue dust speed for 875 with the volumizers, twist-lock gated feed, and soft face bolt.

Get the Speed, but don't waste any money on volumizers. The only upgrades you'll want (I think they come with the soft touch bolts now) is a barrel or a clamping feed neck (don't get the monstrous "twist lock gated-feed". It's gigantic and the gated feed barely does anything. Just buy a smaller, cheaper, and better looking gated feed from somewhere else), a tool kit is nice to have if you have the money.

no, no it really wont be. If you really wanted to, he could send it off to Warped LA and have a was board and ace installed.

Get the speed, trust me. I have gone through the ranks, and i am finally happy with the speed, nothing else matched up to what it is. its light, quick, and its an angel, which is a tried and true opperating platform.

Sensi works, just dont forget to perform the sensi test asn you will be fine.

Go with the Speed dude. You'll get a gun with a smaller profile, better gas mileage and more extras like the space frame+soft bolt, volumiser and twist lock feed neck.

The Impulse vision doesn't detect black paint. With sensi, you won't have this problem.

I think the Speed is overall more reliable than the Impulse.

Go with the imp, personally I can shoot them better than an angel + with the new WAS equalizer board there will be no more eye probs and they will shoot crazy fast.

Have your friend shoot both and then decide. I've owned a Adrenaline Imp and a RAT Imp. Played with an IR3 and a Speed....honestly I don't like either. But it is all prefrence. You have to play with it to really know if you are going to like it.

Go for an 04 viking, comes with WAS stock, eyes are 20 bucks and covers are like 30, comes with the only self compensating LPR(no ajusting needed + rock solid), gets a case off a 68/4500 and equally as reliable as the angel. Plus, its a little less expensive, with the eyes an covers I think an 04 is a little less than 900, oh ya not to mention faster not only due to better componants but the WAS board.

If I was in your position, I would definitely get the speed.
It's a fast, reliable marker that won't need too much tinkering. It's hella-cool looking (easily one of the coolest on the market, IMO) and it won't be supporting Smart Parts.
Plus, it's an Angel for $800, which is amazing. If I had the money, I'd purchase a Speed to complete my Element collection (Fire Mag, Frost Omen, Earth TES and [Wind Speed])

Just my thoughts. You should go with whichever one you like best in your hand, but I prefer the Speed ('specially the trigger!)

I've got to vote for the speed. It is just much better put together, everything works, and works well. They perform the same (better in my opinion), break down far less, look better (again my opinion), do I even need to mention servicing (WDP will take much better care of you than SP will). You just plain get more for your money. Speed all the way.
