        Nice!

My dad still has this box that me and my brother scribbled all over and gave to him for his birthday when we were about five years old.

very true. probably the greatest thing i've ever recieved was a scarf that my gf knitted for me all on her own. I wear it everytime i go snowboarding. Just the thought that someone cares enough to spend the time to make something for you is amazing.

Actually Z-Man, you are only partially correct. Christians celebrate it as the birth of thier christ, true, but Christmas is actually based on a much older Pagan tradition called Yule, which occured near the winter solstice (sp?). Thats why you still here the word yule, even in the chrsristian religion. Such as Yuletide. But, the 25th of December is meant to celebrate the day he was born, not saying that was the actual day he was born. Didnt scientists somehow come up with the idea Jesus was born in the spring?
Not sure, any how, Happy holidays to all.

Thats correct! Most every Theologian agree's that Christ was not born on Dec 25th however it is celebrated then anyway.

Some good stuff I hearing here. Good stuff. I guess another point here was that this particular Dad was keen enough to realize the specialness of the gift he recieved. Not just the giver but the reciever was keenly aware of its value to him. Thats pretty rare now too.
