this is awful. a couple days old news here, but i would like to hear the response of the paintball community on this one. as of december 21st 03, smart parts filed a patent infringement lawsuit against AKA. this has to do with smart parts's attempted takeover of the entire electro marker market. smart parts is best known for the impulse and the shocker, as well as its line of barrel systems, AKA is know as the low pressure experts, manufacturing markers like the excaliber and the viking. being this an automag forum, i think its a pretty "unbiased" 3rd party, because the lawsuit is not yet upon AGD. i hope to hear from you all, this means a lot about the future face of paintball prices, gameplay, and marketing.
