    Glow in the dark paintballs.

Hi guys. Just making a new thread asking a question of how to convert a Ricochet AK into a glow in the dark paintball charger for those kryptonite paintballs.

I'm guessing putting some kind of black lights on the inside of the hopper? But what could I use for a chrome mirror surface to bounce the light with, or is that even neccesary? Or maybe I could even convert a Ricochet UV into an agitating loader somehow?

Please help. Let the ideas commence.

You could try using some tin foil to bounce the light around inside the hopper.

i'm pretty sure that they were working on a mod for the HALO's to convert them to the UV ones

I haven't seen one in years, but there used to be a devise that you attached to the end of the barrel that looked kind of like a silencer, but it charged the tracer balls on the way out of the barrel

I built one out of a old evolution. I went to the local sporting goods store and bought some of those small lights led lights, they have a life time warrenty and work great, then i took them apart, put them in the hopper and wired them into the battery, it worked good but if you didn't shoot in a while the balls in the feed neck would loose there glow, but if you are shooting fast it worked really well. I didn't even bother with foil, but it might work better. If i were to do it again, i would put a coupple of lights down in the feed neck

          Good luck

Haven't had any experience with Kryptonite

But the absolute best effect for glow in the dark paintballs is to go to www.rtcsports.com and check out their tracer unit and tracerballs. As Eagle said, you get a small charger unit that fits on the end of your barrel. This is powered by 4 AA's. Any paintball that provides glow in the dark capability that is fired through this adapter will glow brightly as it flies down range. In my experience, the "charge in the hopper" balls just don't cut it, especially when you see them alongside this tracer unit.

              Hopper light

A few white orblue maybe , LEDs a switch and may be a resistor and you got one. You can get by even cheaper if you use hi brightness yellow LEDs. Use the power from the hopper, that way no extra batteries. Heck you could have them come on with every trigger pull or hopper paddle spin. I would also recommend the light source illuminate from the bottom of the hopper. Buy a clear hopper and illuminate it externally and paint the hopper or get a black one and drill holes just big enough to fit LED or bulb.
OR for those people with ball detents a internally lit ball detent... this would take alittle work. If you have two detents you could easlily replace one with a light source, as long as it does not protrude into the breech.
I would be happy to attempt the hopper mod for you.

im can't remember what its called but try that string light suff they use to detail the interior of a car, its like 2-5 feet long and you can cut it anywhere (if someone knows what its called please speak up). its about 1/8 of an inch thick and u can snake it around the inside of your hopper.

take the "patented" Glo-Bows apart and adapt it to what ever I need.

The price has also been dropped to $25

A local guy in my area makes these , they work awesome and are really inexpensive, and Palmers(cough the best cough) carries them
