Emag with custom wood grips and new goodies..

    Hey guys..

I recently picked up this Emag from a fellow AO user used and just wanted to show off some of the new goodies I have gotten for it over the past month.

It includes everything I need, 3.2, JJ Edge, Crossfire 4500, and what I like the most, custom wood grips worked a by a friend and I.

Here are the pics, there are alot, but they arent that big..

If you are interested in grips like the ones pictured, LMK many more can be fabricated at a later date (spring breakish, goin back to college)

    Enjoy..

Very nice. You are the second person I have seen that has made wooden e-mag grips.

I know someone who will be getting a pair of purple heart e-mag grips soon.

                thanks for the opinions guys..

I will most likely pick up a pair of Fry's grips, cause I here she is doing em again, but my friend got lots of new tools for Christmas and we whipped out the pair of panels uber fast. With a little of his carving skills and some time, they would be killer.

Wood grips only look good on certain markers, I think the all black on mine makes them look great, especially in person. The dark stain on the oak wood, makes the grain almost match perfectlly to the guns black.

Oh and tony3, I am in lisle (super close to naperville) actually graduated from Benet Academy in 2003 and am now in college.. where you at school wise or are you beyond that time :]

                Thanks again

I agree, those look nice on your marker. Black with wood looks very nice. Not all "modern" looking markers can pull it off.... yours does.

Nice gun, also not a fan of the wood grips but that's the kind of thing that makes any gun truly yours. At least get those screws countersunk a little more.

I hate wood grips, but for some reason I really like them on your E-Mag. Nice job, where those grips hard to make?

The grips definatly gives the marker a one of a kind look and that's what's nice.

"where those grips hard to make?"

The grips did take some time to produce. After a few sets it got fairly easy to make em though. They can only get easier and easier though, we kept finding new tricks to making them come out better and better and we only did like 3 pairs.

We would have done some engraving/ carving into the grips to make em totally custom, but we are both heading to college in the next few days. We played around on the oak sheet, and he carved grooves, dessigns etc etc.

Possibilites are endless with the tools we have and what not, so we are definatly gonna play around with the idea when we are together again..

Oh and shartley, what are you using to drill the holes for the screws? I am guessing a drill press of some sort.

                            Just wondering..

Yes, I use a drill press. I drill the center hole and then a counter sink.
