New DM4 Video

man I wish I had a video camera, I can walk my X-mag really easy, and with the 3.2 its so fast. You all want vids of people shooting an X-mag fast but I have no camera!! Aaahhh!!

Hey guys.

Regarding the bounce- I don't really like bounce in my guns and when I was playing with it, my pull was so long that it never bounced (or at least I never noticed it). We set the trigger sensitivy to 1 mainly to see what it would do. The only time it would bounce (like when my teammate Chris is shown with it bouncing) was when he was slowly pulling back to find the firing point and he'd hold it there. Only way that would really work in a game situation is if you made the pull extremely short. It's possible- but like I said, I like my gun to be fast with me pulling it.

And yeah- we put a TON of paint through it. The only balls it would chop were some old JT elite that has broken in just about every gun we've tried. I shot TONS of Maxim 2 (which happens to be extremely brittle) and Blaze through it and it never even broke in the barrel. I was stunned.

Regarding the looks- I hated the looks when I saw it online too. I just wanted the gun for the performance really. When I took it out of the box in real life I was shocked. The milling and ANNO (Dye actually does a proper fade) in real life are absolutely stunning.

Accuracy- most accurate gun I've ever played with. This is in actual games. Forget the newbies I was playing with in the video- at the beginning of the day I was playing with a couple seasoned tourney guys and I was sending them to the dead box faster than I ever have before. This was the first game I played with it- I was in shock. Doesn't matter how fast you rip on this thing- it stays completely frozen. The fact that it balances perfectly with a 68 ci tank and a Halo helps a lot too. Maybe it looks inaccurate in the video because A)I'm using a larger bore than it needed and B)it's hard for you to judge true range on film. But trust me- the accuracy blows away every cocker, angel, imp- anything that I've owned.

I know it sounds like I'm making a lot of this up but I'm serious. If you see one of these things on the field, give it a go. PLAY with it. Not just shoot it at a range. It's the easiest gun I've ever played with. I just looked at targets and hit them.

Doesnt seem any faster than my viking, or any other WAS'd viking or timmy for that matter. Dont get me wrong, the thing is sweet though. I saw one at the memphis indoor.

Yeah the speed is up there with the best but it doesn't blow away anything. I think we're finally reaching the point where guns fire as fast as the player can pull the trigger... only way guns will get faster are ramping and bounce. The DM4 can bounce pretty easily if the trigger is set to 1 (as shown in our vid) but my pull is so long that it takes effort to do that.

But it wasn't the speed that impressed me. It was the accuracy. It's insane.

has anyone found the DM4's for less than $1499.99..I had heard that Dye had now instituted MAP pricing and that you weren't supposed to find them for any cheaper...but i will try...

I just finished analyzing the video and it only goes about 15 bps tops, its hard to tell anyway due to the music and all but its still pretty impressive.
