rit dying a halo

i know its been done with other loaders but i just picked up some clear halo halfs and wish to dye them.
i vagly remember someone sometime telling me that it doesnt work on the halos.
if any of you out there in ao land have any experience with this your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

it works. emo dyed his clear ones black. i think. well pretty sure.

emo was the one that told me it didnt work cus he tried to dye them green and all it did was turn the little halo logo green and nothing else.

i think it's possible, i'm pretty sure that Miami Effect rit dyed some of their halos orange

You can not dye the Shells, The Lids yes everything else no.

Miami Effect had a batch of shell run for them and NPS bought up the over run.

I have tried a few tricks to get the Halo shells to take extra pigments and non have worked so far.

Several people have approached me and asked if I used rit dye on my halo since I have purple swirls on both sides. The guys at Odyssey had it done that way when the shells were made so it's one of a kind. Like Rob said, you can't use rit dye on halos. I originally thought that you could but Chris and Tex at Odyssey said it can't be done properly.

You CAN dye the clear shells. I dyed my GF's pink to match the EOrracle I built for her. It just takes a little more time. Whoever couldnt do it was just impatient. Time and heat.

Also don't be half *** about it either. You can carefully remove the Halo logos off and save them. Then you just stick back them on after you dye the shells.

Ok I had over 30 minutes in the vat at 180* F and didnt even get a tint.

And you say I have no patiencs ?? I spent 2 hrs carving flames into a Sluggo body :P

check your pms leather you do know all you have to do is attach teh pics as that works now
