    nipple and gauge in wrong place

    hiya guys,im not sure if this should be in tech or not.my crossfire 68/45 is great except 1 thing,when i put on the on/off the gauge sits right underneath the frame.im using a cp micro drop thats why its so close.i was wondering can i swap the nipple and gauge to where the bleeder valves are?thnx for any help

    You know, I went through that very same thing myself. No, you cannot switch the fill nipple and gauge to where your burst discs are. I solved my problem by switching to a different on/off. It turns out that they all have slightly different threading, so the tank stops rotating in a different orientation.

      friends of mine have had this problem. in both cases all they did was go to the local shop and buy a smaller gauge for their tank and that solved the problem.

        put a o-ring inside the on off the tank will not screw is as far and the guage will be on the side had the same problem the fill nipple was behing the warp and i coudln't get the slide check on it.

          hehe well i tried the oring and its a no go .im using a cp micro drop and cp on/off.i got the on/off through ebay so no swapping out for one that works.but if changing to a micro gauge will work then ill give that a shot.thnx again for all the help

            I had the same problem at first with one. Looking at the regulator on the bottle itself, I found that it 2 pieces together and there is a small hex screw on the side of the top piece. I loose it up get a little and I was able to turn the top assembly around to have the gauge on top and then I just retighten it.. Works Great..No Leaks..

              i dont see a hex screwjust fill nipple,gauge and 2 burst discs.unfortunatly(sp)the crossfire tank is hp so its red and i cant tell if its loctited together.
