    PTP vs. AGD Warps

    I've seen people expressing preferences for PTP warps. Why is this?

    I believe that I have a PTP warp. Is there a clear way of telling them apart?

      I must confess ignorance on this one. How are AGD-specific warps only fit to automags?

      Maybe a better way to put it:
      How does the adapter make the PTP warp universal?

        From PTP;
        ---------------------------------------------------------
        Kits include Warp Feed, NEW Pro-Feed hose, hose adapters, feed adapters, and the NEW Gen 5 mount system with electronic sensor to activate the system.
        ---------------------------------------------------------
        Basically more universal parts and an external sensor I believe.The 12v mod through them is an option.

          yeah external sensor and the adapter are the difference. warps only fit agd guns unless you buy a ptp warp adapter or the various warp feed specific feed tubes which take the elbow that comes with the agd warp feed (which is what i personally did with my guns it looks alot cleaner)

            Well AGD warps CAN fit other markers. Just not everyone. PTP's adapter is nicer and more universal and fits most of the other ones that you can't make work wth the AGD one. Its an Aluminum warp feed adapter. Also available on its own. And yea the sensor difference but there are few applications for that external one. But if you did need it. I consider it a liability if you don't. But of course its more expensive as well. It just depends on what your putting it on. If your putting it on a Mag with a Warp body then its not really a good idea to buy the more expensive PTP one. Thats about all there is to it.

            AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

              When setting up the warpfeed on her Viking, my wife bought the AGD version (from Action Pursuit Paintball - I believe it was on sale) then simply ordered a warpfeed tube from AKA. Everything seems to work fine with that set up, and it was significantly cheaper than ordering the PTP version.

                I'd actually like to see pics of that. Some Viking with a lo/no-rider feedcup and adapter on top fed to a warp. Sweet.

                    Actually, the adaptor from AKA replaces her No-Rider altogether. It screws into the breech, and the warpfeed's T-elbow(or whatever you want to call it) clamps around it. Nice and simple.

                    I'll try to post pics this weekend.

                        The PTP mounting plate itself has more ajustability than the original AGD mountin plates(brackets.. wutever). I'm still using my PTP plate to hold my new AGD Warp onto my SFL setup...
