AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Wow where do i begin? I knew after attending my first AO Day, there would be bigger and better things to come. Take a concept, abit of planning, massive PMs and emails add Z-Man energy and ethusiasm, next thing yo know, Kablaow! The funnest day of paintball ever! So heres AO rundown.
WORDUPS!
Zman: Your the man.Thanx for lettin me rock your battery pack! Its a bummer your SFL dumped on ya, but honestly it wouldnt be Zman if did not rock the mech RT. I could hear all the way cross the field.
Brad: Thanks for letting us use your field and providing a place to entertain paintballers hungry for a good time. You got some really cool looking dogs. I guess your the top contender to beat in the next break-a-pod wrestling challenge. Your an awsome host
Breakout Paintball: Thanx for letting us use your airball fields. It was no doubt the funnest airball field i've played on. Big props to the collective minds of AO members, whom formed like Voltron, in order to produce a really challenging, fast and uber-fun layout. "T-Bone" baby!
Tom Kaye: Thanx for rolling our way. Thanx for autographing my arm. It was great of you speaking so candidly of what the future holds for AGD.
Aegis & LittlePaintballBoy. Thanx for hookin a fella up with a room! Not to mention them Sam Adams, they did the trick post Saturday paintball action. Sometimes Ibuprofin just wont cut it. Anyhow, thanks again for luggin' me around for two days and puting up with my stink.
Big Ups to:
-Aegis's sick ULT'd mag, its walkable.
-all the cool SoCal and CenCal folks, you guys are some furious competiton and some straight up ballers.
-Sportsmanship was the bomb!
-All the players that reffed. Your help was greatly appreciated, you guys are unsung heros!
-T-Bone....the all so deceptive, harmless looking bunker. I got some nice elims from there repeatedly.
-Suicide runs that yielded on average 2:1.
-Miscue, new software. When i turn on my mag it says "I love the way you turn me on"
-Tri-Tip Sandwich at Mo's.
-Hot SLO college girls.
-The Hampton Inn. Lets just say we pwned that hotel lobby/confrence room. Killer continetal breakfast.
-Mighty Mike and Blenidae for pullin up to me on the highway :)
-300 fps!
-didn't get bunkered
-Event pricing! woot! mad bumpers yo!
-The Awesome "AO Vibe"
-Beautifull sceenery on the drive to SLO.
-Ninja Turtles
-Blennidae for letting me use his batt. pack.
-All the players that i shot, i couldnt of done it without you!
Big Downs to:
-Me not being able to get my slide on. How the hell do ya end up facing the wrong side of the field? Poor technique.
-My stupid hopper coming of on every other slide (see above)
-Not having the energy to play Texas Holdem an Wil's pad.
-im still sore
-coming to terms, i need a faster hopper.
-Suicide runs that yeilded on average 2:1 (I was goin for the 5:1 sweep)
Has anyone else noted that TK has shown undue interest about the 400FPS FN and the double-barreled Emag since he got back? I wonder what he will be using at the next AO meet.
Originally posted by big echo no dout carbon u loved that t bone bunker u were always running for that off of the break. Some times u win some and some times u dont.
is anyone going to the paintball show in pamona in feb.
YUP! I swear, he must have had that position down cause I ran for the same bunker going against him and he reached it before I did! Needless to say, seeing him with his mag pointed at me was quite the site! I had to slide early to try to avoid getting hit. Good game indeed Carbon! :)
Argh, now that Ive met Tom Kaye, I think Im going to shelve my cocker plans and just get a nice mech mag backup. How can you meet the president of AGD, as well as all the great Cali AO'ers, and not have/get a mag?
