Is the micro e-mag of the same quality as the e-mag? And can it achieve the same rate of fire?

The PTP MicroE's are made with lesser tolerance demands than AGD puts into its E-mag so the PTP isn't quite as well build as the E-mag but it still shoots fine. The only other issue that I know of with the MicroE's is that sometimes the solenoid gets messed up and won't allow the marker to cycle; that's easily fixed by sending it in to BlackVCG though.

Some were same or better, some where not. Most were good.
And can it achieve the same rate of fire?
Sure, giving identical software and setup. The only dif between the 2 were the body.

I'd stay away from the micro emag, and get a ule emag instead. Micro emag=problemsRed to Black Ironman Intimidator
Demon UL Matrix Dust Red
TEAM BACKDRAFT
Broken Matrix or DM4? Send it to me, I'll fix it, just pay $10 + shipping + parts.Comment

I don't know but got mine back with 3.2 and it is a monster just from my little knowledge of trigger adjustment. Also with the solenoid going bad would not be a micro specific problem as the micro e uses the exact same trigger frame and electronics and e-mag. Mine has always shot perfect, no problems whatsoever, best gun I have ever owned.Comment

i had one, many others have. I really do not approve of them. The tolerances are terrible. They use a file to make it work and each one is custom made in a sense. The problem with that is that you can not get an AGD on-off pin to replace yours if yours breaks. They use a frickin spacer to get it to work.
Stick with AGD genuine work. It will work better and AGD will take care of youComment

That's not true or fair. The fact is they are VERY low production and very much hand built, assembled and tuned. They are not mass produced by any stretch of your imagination. They only trouble you may have is if you swap parts around from different guns, which would be true of any truly hand built product. At the time, they were the only true AGD based, fully custom gun.Try swapping parts around on a AGDE euro Xmag before they were in full production and see what happens.Originally posted by Kevmaster

the electronics differed, slightly, but if i remember right, thats about all.Originally posted by RRfireblade

Ask Havoc or Tuna about sitting there with a file chopping at an AGD on-off pin and being asked "what are you doing" and replying its a PTP. Its trial and error to get them to work...on parts that are laser cut to THREE decimal places on AGD stuff.
AGDE didn't have to add a spacer in between the body and grip frame for theirs to work did they?Comment

That's fine, you have your own opinion.FYI, there's a reason AGD sells various on/off pins, even thier own guns use different lengths. If you swap around valves you may have to file it to the correct length on those as well.As far as a spacer,I've never seen one on a Micro of any kind but you can't discount what people do to thier own guns after they buy them.I had a Classic valve that some one put a stack of washers in the adjuster in place of the spring pack, stuff happens.Seems to me a spacer in that position indicates a longer on/ff pin was needed.Hmm,was that after the on/off was filed?Interesting.
Anyways,it doesn't really matter.I've owned dozens of Micros so my experience is that they are generally good products despite the occasional problems that ALL products typically have from time to time.
Actually their varied use of parts was diverse enough the AGD wouldn't even warranty the the first initial runs and they had to be sent back the AGDE in many cases.the electronics differed, slightly, but if i remember right, thats about all.

Is this correct??
How does one upgrade the software anyway to v3.2 if it's all possible...
Thanks.Comment

While yes it's true that AGD sells different on/off pins of differing sizes, they are for marker to marker. As in RT pro to Emag or Classic.
PTP uses such a varied grouping of sizes. I've seen them go from .675 to a .770. AGD uses a certain size for a certain model gun. PTP uses varied sizes for ONE model. And it's true, they will hand grind the pin for every gun to get it to work.
They also put a .065" spacer in between the body & the gripframe. That's cuz they milled the body to the wrong spec. (That's along with the shaved pin)
I'm with Kev. Stick to the AGD tolerances.
As for the software upgrade, they work just like any other Emag. Send it to AGD or one of the dealers across the country and they can flash the board to the newest software.
