I got a centerfeed freak in a week. I don't consider that too bad.

How much more was it, if any to get it done for a Center Feed body?

I did'nt pay any more than for any other mag barrel. Most stores just don't keep them in stock so you can go right to the manufacturer that does. In my case I got my local store to go directly to Smart Parts.

I tried that and my local store tried to charge me an additional 50 bucks as a special order surcharge. Lazy jerks didn't want to assist at all, they made their money on the sale of the gun, I guess they felt there was no sense in trying to keep me coming back for more business.

They blow! Try contacting the manufacturer directly.

Hey, I've never heard "hype" about the vertical feed. I've got a vertical and I love it. I can actually have less ball breakage with it than with my power feed (only when by rev batteries start dying). It is a high rise. I don't notice any blowback at all, plus all my paintballing friends love the look.

I called J&J and got a Full Tilt barrel for 90 bucks plus 6 bucks shipping, and was able to get it in a specific bore size. I think the whole mass production Paintball stores, no names mentioned, is a good idea if they are willing to make it work for everyone. Not just the "mainstream" Spyder/Cocker owners. I love my Vert Feed MiniMag, but I also want a Black Teflon Minimag RH/PF and some more goodies like a DYE 2 Finger trigger frame in black ano (anyone want to sell one?) a Retro Valve, SP Freak...a lot of money for more paint...and a really really inexpensive warehouse to store all of my extra crap from my Cockers...

Oops. Sorry bout that. I like mine as far as balance goes, and it does help by being able to tuck yer hopper inside the bunker. I put an Angel high rise feed on mine, and I think it feeds faster with no visible or noticeable blowback. Then again, it's only my opinion and seeing as how I am new to the list, one may not take my words serious.

yeah, I paid 90 for a 14" and a 16" tip along with the stainless back for my Mag. I just now got my 10" tip this very afternoon from UPS...as I am playing up front now.

Ive got a high rise on my angel and i love it. The best part I think is u dont ahve to worry about elbows breaking. Ive used low and high rise and i prefer the high rise. The concept behind them is that u get a few more paintballs loading at the same time straight down, and then after that it takes more time for them to roll into the rise from the hopper instead of them feeding straight down. Sorry if that confuzed ya but its hard to explain.

The issue with v/f is not about blow back. It is about a thing called ball bobble. Here is the scoop. You have a ball in the breech ready to go, when the bolt pushes forward the next ball in line gets pushed or "bobbled" upwards a bit. That is why powerfeed guns work great at high rates of fire. This is why they test the Halo at 18bps with a powerfeed gun. The powerfeed is designed to work with ball bobble.
