Accuracy...which one is better for my style?

I have a tendancy to be very patient, and have a natural aptitude for sniping. My teams generally elect me to play back, in rec ball and speed ball games, simply because Im better at it, and I dont like running into the certain death of front liners. I already own a flatline m98, but am looking for a high end gun.

Well, they both shoot accurately. Heck, all pb markers shoot accurately. Get a good paint to barrel match and it won't matter what you have. The cocker might be a better choice though, it is more consistant and air effecient.

      soo.....many....things to say..........

ok, ill try and fill you in, if i miss anything someone help me out

there have been SOO many arguments over everytihng in your post, im just going to state some facts and some opinions

Guns- they are the same, no gun is more "accurate" than another, its all in paint to barrel match and consistancy, and the type of paint your using, so if your using a great paint to barrel match on a mag, its gonna work better than a bad p/t match on a cocker, but both with good p/b match will shoot the same

so are you saying your a sniper? its tough to snipe in a game where the balls are all different, i mean paintballs are not bullets, they dont shoot the same every shot and if your playing an hyperball and speedball, i would rather not have a "sniper" on my team, back players have to do a few things, watch the field and shoot, and with a flatline, your not gonna get the rof that your team might need, if your going to buy a cocker, i would suggest you save a little more and get a bushy or impulse, both guns can lay down hella paint and are less that 500, but if your set of a cocker, i wouldnt suggest getting a stock one, your really just paying for the body, since your gonna have to replace all the other things on the damn thing, also, i would look into vertical feed, both guns i use have them, and i like them more than right feed or power feed.

i really dont think that either a stock cocker or a mag are "high end" guns
they might be nice but i woouldnt call them high end, maybe an emag and a free flow cocker, but certainly not stock of either one

but it really comes back to if your gonna play back you need to be able to shoot, either with an elcd grip or a pnuematic(sp) gun, if u wanna be competative in the sport and be a good back player your going to need a gun that can shoot, i reccomend and angel, i love mine

      and thing else? just ask

I think you will like the way the gun fires then cocks so most of the kick is after the shot. and it is a little bulkier and front heavy to keep your shots on target to make up for your error.

Go for a nice RT. but everyone has a choice, accuracy isnt an issue with most markers if you use a quality barrel and decent "matched" paint. Cliffio was right until the part about electros or pneumatics for back. I guess since he shoots an Angel. Use a marker you are comfortable with. SOme like the mags reliability, some the cocker for the tinkering. The fact is you need to try each gun and see what YOURE comfortable shooting. I know alot of guys with cockers who hate them, they bought them out of popularity, and dont like the long trigger pull, or the high maintenance that goes along with them. I prefer my RT for the simple reliability and the fact that Tom Kaye stands behind every part that leaves his company to your hands.

Neither!! Get an Extreme Mag!!! Play both front and back
positions. Uses cocker barrels! Of course I don't have an Extreme Mag. Have'nt even held one. But after buying the Retro valve and Hyperframe for the minimag
and another mag barrel, I should have waited and saved some more cash and bought the Extreme.
Yes it will cost more than a stock cocker and a Mag, but I believe you will have a much more reliable electro shooter than any thing else on the market. Also the fastest recharge of any gun anywhere. I also have a custom AKA cocker that I enjoy using too! But it appears I may sell all of them to get the the Extreme Mag.

actually if you dont have enough money for eather the slf or the exxtreme then i would go with the viking. I shot an excal and i heard they were very similiar not to metion you get a great reg...just throw on a boomer (or nice barrel kit)or a nice nickel plated autospirit any lapco really. Nice drop, tank, HALO, and stickys (must have) and you will be ripping. Looks like a good backup.

                  Cockers... ahead!?

mag mag mag mag! you have to fiddle around alot with cockers. you dont have to do anything with a mag, just play. since you have a tippmann now, your finger is used to the hinge trigger... so if you were to switch to a mag, the trigger would be easier, but a cocker, you have to pull straight back. i dont exactly the nae of the trigger system, but its not a hinge.
