On a speed use a 450-500psi output tank. Thats what they were designed to recieve. If you want to change to a 800 psi tank you will have to change the mini-reg spring stack or drasically lower your dwell which is bad. Or go with a new inline reg.
What are the high flow tanks on the market right now?

No don't stick with 800psi.
I have an Angel Speed, if you put a volumizer on it you'll have problems chronoing under 300fps. Plus you'll waste lots of air.
450psi output is what you want. The manual recomends 400psi output and The Angel Guy recomends 500psi... so 450psi seems about right, lol
I'm sorry. But you have a tool on your angel inbetween your volumizer and your tank. its called the INLINE REG. No matter what goes in (400psi, 500psi, 800psi, 1200psi) you can control the output down to what you want. There is no reason that the tank has to be outputting 400psi so you can have your inline reg output the right amount to get it to shoot 300fps. It can do it equally well with 400psi input or 1200psi inputComment

Thanks for all of your help. I've decided against the speed. I will be for sure getting an '04 viking.

Sorry you are plain wrong...the minireg on the Speed and A4 is different to the previous models and will not drop the pressure down as you suggest with the high input numbers...Ok I see the person who started this thread has decided against a Speed but that is their choice I hope it wasn't coloured by incorrect information. If you need further proof borrow an LCD Minireg and a Speed/A4 Mini and try it yourself measuring the output from the minireg each time, you won't get it down far enough.Originally posted by Kevmaster

Thanks. I decided to go with the viking as it will suite me more. I've seen one rip in person, and now I want my own. Someday I'll probably get a speed also, to compare them, but for now I will try a viking. Thanks!
