    I'm OK still!

I'm in Ft. Lewis (no time for paintball though). Things are hopping fast too. I'll be heading for Ft. Irwin in a couple weeks, then......

    Stay good everyone!

        Woohoo! Go Army!
I'm thinking of being in the army. Is it worth it?/Benefits? I know you can't reply but someone here can probably answer my questions.

Can't wait for you to get back, everyone here misses you.

I was in the Army for 5 years, now work as a civilian for the Army and have been "hanging out" with Doobie for 11 years now...

College is a great benefit. Since I got out of the Army I can go to college and the Army will pay me $900 a month for taking a minimum of 2 classes. This is the GI bill and is something you pay into, but you get MUCH more back once you get out of the Army and start taking classes. Plus while you're in (if you have time) you can take classes for free.

Getting to move every 3-4 years and live someplace new. I've lived in Germany for two years, went to Paris, Switzerland, and Austria...skiing in the Alps is the coolest!

They also give you medical and dental benefits--most people pay at least $200 a month.

I have learned so much about myself from being in the Army that has prepared me to face anything in life. It was one of the best decisions I've made.

For those who serve overseas in combat right now, they have experienced what most never will, they have affected many lives around them, and have played a huge role in history...priceless.
