I too, will add my welcome to AO. As for your question about where you should go, stay right here. Doesn't matter what gun you shoot around here, there's enough brain power to help you with any type you have or will have. Just note that if you don't own a mag, they will harrass you. I know I will.. JK Of course, you could always just forget about buyang any other gun and just get a mag to begin with. *Insert shameless plug for AGD here* Like others have said, be careful to limit your exposure to AO, or you might find yourself awake in the wee hours of the morning responding to one of many posts here on AO instead of getting needed rest. 
I would reccomend hitting an AO meet near you, they are soo much fun and can get crazy too... if you into that kind of thing. Carbombs anyone?
