    J&J Edge Question

    Hi everybody,
I just picked up a ule body, x-valved emag and was thinking about a new barrel. I am very interested in the edge kit. I have found that they make a ceramic tip. My question: is the ceramic tip worth getting over the standard, and what would be the best length?

    Thanks.

The ceramic is self cleaning I believe. But the best length I say would be a 14.

14 is nice length all depends on what you are playing though. like if you play sup air alot 16 is the way to go
so you can push your bunker iv even heard of guys going to 18
if you play on fields that have fixed bunkers a shorter barrel might be what you want.
but really its a question that you have to answer for yourself what fits you and your style of play.
i have like three tips for my edge kit that way i can satisfy my every freakin whim when i play

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping someone out there might have the cermanic tip, though. If you have used it, how does it work?

the ceramic is a very good barrel for the money, and now thta they make a tip for the edge kit, i would go for it. they clean out very well, and the edge kit itself is a very nice barrel kit. i would reccomend a 12 in., but everyone has thier own opinions on barrel length.

I love my edge kit, mine is all alluminum, and its awesome. I use 10" and my barrel still gets dinged up alot from hitting bunkers and whatnot. Maybe I just suck

i wonder if the ceramic tip is more prone to breaking, or getting more dings in it. what i am really asking, is ceramic more durable than aluminum, or not?

                        FYI:
www.equationusa.com you can click on the multiple switch, and buy tips there for like 30$.

thing is, they have the same threads as the edge kit, and therefore giving you the ability to expand to a huge kit!

the ceramic tips and barrels that J&J make are made of aluminum and have a ceramic COATING. not made entirely of ceramic. they are as strong and durable as any other aluminum barrel.
