    Regulators with RT

Would buying a high pressure regulator and using a preset tank for an rt pro work as well as an adjustable tank regulator?

Only preset OR only adjustable. That are your choices with any mag. Putting another reg there will just starve it.

I bought my RT Pro used with a highpressure reg and a preset 850 psi tank. I haven't had any sort of problem with starving the valve. It is good if you only want to go up to 850psi, but an adjustable tank has a broader range of pressures, they are probably more consistant, but I haven't had any consistancy problems with my gun so go figure.

no. and heres why. With an adjustable tank, you can make the pressure anything...400psi, 800psi, 1000psi. You can go ABOVE the 850 the presets are. With the presets and an inline reg, you can still NOT get ABOVE the 850 they output. Plus, as noted, you're tripple regging the main air system, and thats just not good in practice....

I use a high pressure inline on my RTpro to stop the runnaway. It works great, but mounting it is alittle difficult.

You also have to have some head pressure for the reg to function normally. So if you feed a reg 850, it won't work well regulating the pressure if the output is over 750 or so.
