    Left feed vs. Right feed

Sorry for asking, but I'm so used to center feed guns...

I'm LEFT-HANDED, if I had to choose between the two, should I use a LEFT-FEED (hopper on out-side of gun) or a RIGHT-FEED (hopper on inside-side of gun)?

What are the reasonings? Line-of sight? Balance?

If I use a LEFT-FEED, then the hopper will be really out there exposed when I setup on the left-side of a bunker (my natural position).

Since I've used CF most of the time, this wasn't an issue.

    I was just curious... thanks

I used a powerfeed with the hopper on the left for a long while. I diddnt really mind it or notice it, and it was great when I got a warp feed. (I'm a lefty as well) I think a hopper right gun would be better for getting that hopper out of the way, because I come out of the left side of bunkers mostly (that is when I'm not playing with a warp )

Being left-handed, I have always liked hopper-right guns. It allows you to keep the hopper closer in towards the bunker, giving you less exposure.

I have now switched to centerfeed for most of my guns, but my Minimag remains pf/hr. (I think back in the days when I bought it, you could only get the crown-point powerfeed mag in hopper left and the minimag in hopper right.)

            Thanks for the replies guys...

            Any other thoughts regarding advantages/disadvantages?

Are CF really the way to go?

I kinda like the idea of being able to sight down the barrel with a side-feed setup (non PF). Is CF all that nessessary for 'top' performance?

CF is the best compromise. It's also shorter by an inch or so.

Tilting the gun left on a right feed makes for a strange ball path. I'm out of air at the moment, but I'm pretty sure it feeds slower.

im definately a powerfeed left sorta guy. it just seems more balanced that way, and, of course, less of a target for us right handed players.

unless it's being warped, I'd stick with CF because one side won't be extremely disadvantaged. It will also help balance.

If you knew you were playing say right tape, and would only be coming out the left side, you could probably get by.

Being left handed, as all other cool people (me included ), you'd probably want a right feed, like most people said.

Most important question is what hopper?

If it's not a Halo and you lean towards the hopper side,it won't feed 'cause the P/F is parallel to the ground. So you'd think you gain profile but you may lose reliable feeding. That's one reason why center is better overall.

                      Jay.
