Extreme breaking away from tradition?

Do any of you think AGD is breaking away from its tradition of "performance in simplicity"?
I mean, the extreme is one of the most compicated paintball markers out on the market now with modular parts, ACE, more than 9vlt system, etc...

True, however, all the technology aims at making the gun easier to use. And in the worst case, flip one switch and it's all a moot point.

Uhm, there are LOTs of guns out there more complicated than the Extreme. Its still a rather simple gun.

Good point. AGD was smart to put in the manual everything can go back to basics...

The extreme now has a body and a module in order to achieve the same thing as the E-mag which has a rail, a body and a site rail... Even if you dump the site rail there is an equal amount of parts, but higher precision is required in making the rail and body because of how the parts inter-relate.

The extreme has a cocker barrel which is one part and a ball detent which is to all intents one part. The E-mag had a barrel, nubbin and two o-rings...

Cocker barrels will fit will all types of modules. You need to make sure you have the right barrel set up (or at least put it correctly) for a left, right or vert feed mag body.

The potential to change modules is huge... with the mag you would need to change bodies.

The extreme has the exact same electronics but the additional ACE. That's the only area in my eyes where it isn't simpler and it's a damn good thing to have and worth the extra complexity.

Just because it doesn't look like a tube anymore :) doesn't mean it is more complex. I'd say the Extreme is simpler and has a lot more potential for todays market.
