I suggest you use at least two different target sizes, with the smaller targets worth more points. Your big targets could be 12" in size, but 24" would be a giveaway.
Twenty feet is probably your minimum distance, and no more than fifty as the maximum.
The target range at my home field used to have metal plates targets, which made a satisfying sound when hit, and were suspended with wires top and bottom so they spun if hit even a little off centre. That was pretty cool.
If you plan to bring this out around the public, think long and hard about what you can do to maximize safety.

Actually, I've thought of how to make them adjustable.Originally posted by Jeffy-CanCon

Holes will be made the largest size possible. Cover plates will have smaller holes.
As the targets will be shot through instead of being hit, "satisfying" sounds will be provided by the electronics and lights will indicate targets to hit and that have been hit.

While I would probably only trot it out at paintball related places, I have thought about safety.Originally posted by Jeffy-CanCon

I thought the structure from a "TEMPO" driveway snow-shelter with netting placed over it instead of the white taprr normally used would be the perfect solution.
