No pict attachements until Rich can work some magic. It's not server nor HD space issues. Its limitations within the V Board software which are now exceeded. But he will be working on a patch to see what he can do to extend it for us and get back to normal. In the mean time some limitations will exist.

Correction to cphillip's post

It's not the forum software, but a database limitation for the size of the tables. The attachment table is at the largest that it can be. I am working with Mr. AGD himself to get this resolved.

Hosting Pictures

Anyone have a machine they could use to host pictures for AGD? Then we can just use hyperlinks to the pictures for our posts?

If they could use links in the DB instead of having the pictures in the DB, and host the images on the AO server outside the DB, I think that would solve the problem.

How to do that, I don't know

Rich tells me its a limitation in the software more than anything. If he can find a patch to make attachements and such to go to HD space rather than use up the limitation the software creates it will solve that issue. Without getting to technical. The software itself limits us to 4 gigs or some thing. And even without pictures it would still be an issue. So lets let him work some of that out. We have plenty of HD space. We just have to get the software to use it.

So yea thats correct Thordic. And yea he has to figure out now how to make it do that. I am certain he will.

This isn't the only site I am having problems with though???

I can't view ebay pics either or the first page of my site, the rest are fine though.

I went browsing on the web and there were some sites that had pics and other that I wasn't able to view.

When I right clicked to show pic, it gave me an error that stated the page had script errors?


Is it me, is there something wrong with my pc???

When was the last time you updated the anti-virus? you may also want to get Ad-Ware and run it on your PC to see if you have some Spyware taking up system resources. Also check the windowsupdate.com site for explorer updates.
