Why are ref shields so tiny

Why don't they make larger shields for refs? The ones they use now can't cover very much of your body without leaving another area exposed.

They make big JT ones that will cover one entire side of your body when you crouch. They look like the big cop riot control shields.

My guess would be because the larger shields get the more chance you hace to obstruct your view. At that point why bother reffing.

The shield they have now is fine, they can move it easily because of it's size to block hits.

The JT ones are clear, but get completely covered in paint and you can't see out of them. Most refs angle themselves with the shield blocking hits from one direction but are able to view the whole team they are watching.

my guess would be, what would you rather carry a big bulky thing or somethign small and simple. The bigger it is, the more it could bump into a player bump into a bunker. You yourself a ref could trip over it. As with these smaller ones, it proves some protection but aren't big and bulky.

that sheild seems useless, usualy when i play if someone gets hit anywhere they are out. and the sheild makes you a bigger target

They're not meant for people to use during a game

Becuase if they got much bigger than they are now they would look less like refs and more like "mobile bunkers" (evil laugh)
