I think they need to make the gun pneumatic (who wants to shoot a sear tripper?) and find a way to increase the efficency...

My god. Although I don't shoot a mag anymore, that thread just pisses me off.

Now about the quote. A mag isn't really a sear tripper. I mean, it has a sear that catches the bolt, but does tripping the sear do all the actions to shoot the gun? In my opinion the sear is just there to hold the bolt in place rather than to actually fire the gun.

And what is so bad about a sear tripper anyways? :)

To be fair, the original comment was making the comparison in terms of both the Shocker and Mag making a comeback onto the tournament scene, rather than based on looks.

Made the mistake of reading some other forums on PBN while I was there......favourite post was something along the lines of:
