The Hammerhead Barrel - Hype?

Looks like hype to me. Why are people buing this crap? Its not even cosmetically pleasing.

Yes it is. The current line of paintball barrels are at the limit of accuracy for the projectile used (a round object).

I could explain why, but everyone reading this has already made up their mind and isn't interested in learning why, or already knows why.

It might be a good barrel. It might even be really accurate. I will not say until I see for myself. It's really expensive.

I remember reading in another forum someone posting something like this about the Hammerhead:

"Get one -- it shoots DARTS!"


How can you go wrong with testimonial like that? It's like I can already see you all rushing to buy one now.

i wouldnt mind learning something new, school doesnt teach me anything. why not learn something here.

I've seen them when they debuted, they look decent. And are quiet compared to most other barrels. But best accuracy that's revolutionary? I don't know.

I'll know in the end of March. Talking to some Blue's Crew members, borrowing a barrel for a bit, and doing some testing. Going to see if they really are more accurate, or shoot farther than other barrels. Like my Scepter.
