If everybody makes cute(annoying)nicknames for thier gun, why not one for the mag?
Intimidator= timmy
Impulse= Impy
Matrix= trixy
Tippmann= tippy
so..............
Mag= maggy!
So I will now forever refer to mags as a maggy, never to use thier real name again!

what.. NO!!!!
if your dropping the auto prefix then you get mag which is the nick name for automags, and for the sake of consistancy here we drop the auto prefix again you dont get cock, you get cocker which is what their nick name is already!!! cocker short for autococker.
and if its simplicity you want in your nick name which generally is the reasoning behind a nick name.
then you should be happy with mag as it is, because of all the nick names for markers you mentioned mag is the simplist seeing as how it is one syllable and all the others you mentioned are two
