    TAC-ONE rail extension and mount

When my wife and I were at AGD just after Christmas, I had mentioned to Tom about an idea for a rail extension and mount assembly for the Tac-One.
I finaly found a little time to cut up a spare rail and some aluminium extrusion I had lying around, and came up with this.

This is a first attempt which I think has some promise to finish the look of the Tac-One and provide an under barrel mount for a light or other piece.
Remember, you saw it here first.

Great idea well executed too might I add. What would be cool is if the rail would extend just a bit beyond the body.

That's the one thing the tac-one is lacking in my opinion. I'd love to see a nice production model of that some day.

I was kind of thinking about extending the rail and mount forward a bit, it would need a bit of cutting to blend it back to the body. Maybe 1/2"-1" forward and cut the front of the rail on an angle back to the mainbody, similar to the front of the rail on my Slugg.
It's something to look into, but it'll have to wait until after Skyball.

I came up with this when we first started to see the bodies.

HA! Simple and nice! We would like to put a rail under the rail but the extrusion is just not shaped right. We are hoping that someone will do a bolt on aftermarket.
