    Powerlyte Grip Styx?

I was planning on buying the Gryip Styx double trigger frame. Does anyone own one or have used one? Is it worth getting this frame?

I've seen and held one of them for a spyder, it felt really good and had a solid build, the only problem I saw is instead of a push safety it has a pull knob on the left side. I assume the one for the mag would be about the same but I would have to say spend a little more and get the intelliframe those things are beautiful.

          Chamba,

I am familiar with the Powerlyte line of grips (we carry them at our store), and I agree that they not only look cool but are a decent price for everything you get - double trigger, nice anodizing, integrated drop forward and wrap-around grips. With the low price in mind, I bought one for my brother as a birthday present. I've had trouble in the past matching up Mags to aftermarket grip frames (namely DYE and Benchmark), and in the back of my mind I was thinking I should just plunk down the money for the Intelliframe and be done with it, but...

Unfortunately, when I hooked up the Powerlyte Grip, I could tell immediately that it had not been machined properly to fit the Mag and would not work. After gassing up the marker, the Trigger Rod/Sear would not engage the ON/OFF Assembly. I'm not saying that all Powerlyte frames will have the same problem, but clearly problems exist so be prepared (i.e. keep your receipt or check into the return policy of the online store you order from).

Now I'm buying my brother an Intelliframe, which is probably what I should have done in the first place. Hope the info helped.

          Hasta,

          Matt

I have a Powerlyte 2x frame on my mag and it works fine for me. I've had it on there for about 4 months now and I have no problems with it. For me they feel good I have large hands and they work for me, the trigger pull is not as sloppy as a benchmark frame and longer than the stock trigger pull that is short and snappy. How ever if I would've known that the intelliframe was coming out I would ahve gotten that instead. I'd be willing to sell it, I put dye stickies on it. I bought a z-grip and I'm going to try that.

Here is a pic of what they look like on my gun most poeple mistake them for the intelliframe. and the name is Don not Dan http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...threadid=18760

                clear grips?

How would the Grip Styx look with clear DYE Sticky Grips? Just wondering.
