Other Guns....not Xmag

I was in the same position and purchased a ULE E-Mag instead, however from your list I'd probably go with any of them - my order of preference would be:
1. Angel (A4) - I've used a friends and they're very compact + light and it worked beautifully.
2. Viking - I don't think the Excal really offers any advantages over the Viking. It's not as compact or pretty as the Angel, but does have the advantage of breakbeam eyes instead of Sensi and works in pretty much the same way.
3. DM4 Matrix - not a fan of the milling, but like the inbuilt eyes and the whole presentation. I'd be slightly concerned about how maintenance intensive they may be, but I'd still have one.
4. Timmy - not a fan of the looks or size. I've not used one but hear they're good.sigpic

Well I have been happy with my 03 Matrix LCD, efficency is nothing to brag about but the eyes work flawlessly. Out of the box it is a good gun, but there are upgrades (bolt kits)avaliable to help up your efficency. Check out www.matrixowner.com if you just want to do some basic reading without the PBN flaming.

PM Tunaman, he might be able to hook you up.
I should be getting my X-mag from him next week. I know he was getting in some ULE e-mags and he should be getting a couple more x-mags too.
I was in the same shoes you are right now with my marker decision. I had the same markers on my list pretty much.
Timmy - I don't really care for their looks and $$$, not to mention I don't care for their name either.
Viking - unless I can hold one in person and make a decision that way I wouldn't be interested. Also, there is a wait on those too I think. It looks too bulky in the pics.
Angel - the sensi system vs ACE, other than that I'm sure it's a great marker. You can get an angel speed with a evo2 and couple omore upgrades for $845 shipped. That is a pretty good deal.
Matrix - I was looking at the dye Matrix LCD, it doesn't have adjustable trigger so that was a downer. The x-mag has the nicest trigger setup for sure. The DM4 is nice, but I didn't feel the power buttons too much or the looks. Not to mention $$$.
I'm glad I chose the x-mag and I got lucky to get one.
Good luck with your decision, I'm sure you'll find a marker that fits your needs. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

send me 1400 and i'll an xmag at your door steps by the weekend.
a store i went to yesterday had one sitting on the wall so.
but i have a karta emag, i love it.
i also have a viking, and i love that as weel.. they're easy to maintain, both guns are. but the viking beats the efficiency on the mags by a lot.
personally i think angels have too much it doesn't need. with all the menus and such. what do you actually *need*?
my viking has 3 areas you can adjust, dwell, debounce, and the firing mode.
i've shot a timmie, they're nice, but it just wasn't my taste. they're very light as well.
matrix, my teammate has a tricked out one, and a dm4, and they both are nice, very quiet, very fast. but they're not all that great on efficiency unless you get the evolve bolt

Dye Matrix LCD has no adjustable trigger. The DM4 does. I've heard it fromOriginally posted by Gambit1106
A Dye matrix has an adjustable trigger, not sure where you heard that one
a) I held it in my hands at a store and no visible adjustments, also the trigger would hit against the grip at the most pulled position which sucked
b) There is absolutely no mention of adjustable trigger on Dye's website and in the manual (9MB pdf file).
c) I have talked to dye directly and asked them about it given that I could not find it before (see above two) when I was about to order one. I'm glad they didn't have any blue in stock, so I could end up with a pewter X-mag instead.
So unless you own a Dye Matrix LCD and have adjusted the trigger I'd say I did more homework than you did in the matter. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
