    In my case.......

My scuba is HP so it fills to 3400psi.

So I get 4-5 fills @ 3000psi then it drops around 100-200 psi each fill after for a next few fills then drops 200-300psi each after that.

At a 3000psi scuba you'll get 1 or 2 @ 3000psi then start dropping the same after that.

At really varies from shop to shop, how much they will fill your tank and whether they keep it cool enough during the fill to hold max psi after.

    Just my experience.

Figure about one good days play off that, or about a case. Yes you will still have quite a bit of air left in the tank but you'll be like at 1800 psi fills. This is if its just you filling off of it.
      I have a 80cf 3k tank and I fill my 68 3k and 68 45k with it.
Another thing to look into, how does your dive shop fill your tank. See when I get to the field I rarely have 3k. I usually have 2800 or 2500 psi. see they fill it to 3k at the shop, then it cools or whatever and the pressure drops or it really isn't as full not sure about the specifics, but there is nothing they can do about it or so I'm told.

That's what I was talking about. The local shop I go to has a chilled tank that the tank drops into, then it gets filled(pretty slowly) and left in the tank, still connected,at 3400 or so for a few more minutes and then it gets pulled. It takes a little longer that way but it could add as much as 3-400psi which is 2 more full fills giver or take, when your done.

On a L10 mag off a scuba, every little bit helps.

yep, you're right it does make a difference. I wish my dive shop would do this. It wasn't until recently I figured out what was going on. I had even mentioned to them a few times to make sure they fill it up all the way to 3k.
This chilling that your talking about I think I have read somewhere that it was dangerous to do. A while back someone had posted a link here to a hydro test info place and in random boredom I looked the site over. It linked to other links and one was actually talking about this specifically. I don't remember where it was though.
But anyways, a scuba is a good investment. you have air to tinker with your guns when not at a field, you can play at any field and have compressed air. Its one of the few things (besides my rt's) in paintball that I'd say I actually have gotten my money worth out of.

I'm guessing at depends on the Temp, which I don't know what temp it is but it's not "cold",it's just cool to the touch.I'm thinking that overall it keeps the tank somewhere near room temp throughout the fill. They are a certified Hydro center so I think they know what the crtieria is...I think. (hope?)

I was just searching for that site, but when you click the link there is some sort of problem with it now, it was in a thread about paintball specific hydrotesting.
So when you get your tank back its cool? Cause mine comes back pretty warm. I'm not sure if my place hydros tanks or not, they are the only dive shop in the area though.

Yup. They (He) usually asks me how long I want to wait,so I just wait till it's "equalized" for lack of a better term, while still hooked up and in the water tank.

It usually shows 3300-3400 on the guage when I get home.

FYI,They fill ProTeams tanks there,I don't know what size but the big giant 6' tall ones or whatever, and they don't fit in the tank (or maybe are to heavy)so it takes them like 3-4 days to get them to a full fill while keeping the tank temp under control.I thought that was interesting.

During the winter, I always leave my scuba tank in my car overnight before I get a fill. I seem to get the best fills that way.
